Our Owner

Democale Randle- Marketing Director & Founder

Democale Randle is the Co-Founder of Elacomed Cares Room and Board, a community-focused organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and supportive living solutions. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Democale brings deep knowledge, leadership, and a heart for service to every aspect of the organization.

Democale attended Davenport University, where she pursued nursing, and went on to work as a healthcare professional for 15 years, delivering direct patient care and gaining firsthand experience with the challenges individuals and families face within the healthcare system. This extensive clinical background laid the foundation for a broader mission of advocacy and community support.

After years in direct care, Democale transitioned into community relations, combining clinical expertise with relationship-building and outreach. This pivotal shift led to the creation of Elacomed Cares Room and Board, an organization born from a passion to bridge gaps in care, promote stability, and improve quality of life for those in need.

Our Owner

Thomas McCants – Founder & Program Director

Thomas McCants is a U.S. Navy veteran and experienced entrepreneur dedicated to serving vulnerable and underserved populations through stable housing and structured support. Drawing on a background in leadership, business operations, and community-based service models, Thomas founded his group home program to help bridge the gap between transitional housing and long-term independence. With a hands-on understanding of the needs of disabled adults, individuals with mental health conditions, and those re-entering society from hospitals or treatment centers, Thomas has built a service model focused on dignity, structure, and empowerment. His program reflects a passion for giving back, creating opportunities, and building sustainable community-based housing solutions.

Thomas McCants is a U.S. Navy veteran and seasoned entrepreneur with a Master’s degree in Finance. With a background in leadership, operations, and financial planning, he brings a strategic and compassionate approach to developing quality group homes for vulnerable populations. Drawing from both personal and professional experiences, Thomas is dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and well-managed living environments for individuals in need. His mission is to empower others with the tools, training, and mentorship necessary to successfully launch and operate their own group homes, promoting community impact through sustainable business models.
